Bloom Energy Recognized with Frost & Sullivan Technology Innovation Award for Data Center Power Infrastructure
Bloom Energy Servers Recognized for Superior Availability and Reliability, and for Highest Power Efficiency of any Commercially Available Power Solution
SUNNYVALE, Calif., October 4, 2018 – Bloom Energy (NYSE:BE) announced today that it has been recognized with a Frost & Sullivan Technology Innovation Award in the Data Center Infrastructure Solutions category. The Frost & Sullivan Technology Innovation Awards recognize technologies for visionary innovation and industry impact, among other factors.
The Bloom Energy Server was recognized for providing clean, affordable, high-availability primary power for data centers, without reliance on traditional back-up or power conditioning equipment.

In the data center segment, power availability is critical, and Bloom Energy Servers meet the industry’s always-on requirements with a modular, redundant design that enables Servers to be serviced or ‘hot swapped’ without interruption. Bloom Energy Servers protect customers against the impact of grid outages, as they are located on-site where the electricity is used and do not depend upon vulnerable transmission and distribution wires which could be impacted by extreme weather.
The efficiency of the Energy Server – the highest delivered electrical efficiency of any commercially available power solution - also helps customers address the spiraling costs of data center power. In the U.S., the total cost of power for data centers was $3.3 billion in 2016. This cost is expected to rise by 8.0% annually through 2021.

It also generates cleaner electricity, with almost 60% less CO2 emissions than the average of the U.S. power generation portfolio. The lack of combustion means Energy Servers generate virtually no smog-forming particulate emissions.
